When most people hear the words self-care , they think of spa days, bubble baths, skincare routines, candles, and maybe a glass of wine at the end of a long day. While those things can certainly help us relax, I've come to realize that self-care goes much deeper than that. At 62 years old and cancer-free for almost four years, I am incredibly grateful for every day. But if I'm being honest, getting older comes with its own set of worries. I find myself thinking about the health issues my parents faced and wondering if some of those conditions might eventually become part of my story.
